The PRIMS (Plant Risk & Inspection Management System) Software for Fixed Equipment is designed to support the management of a completely integrated Inspection Program for fixed equipment. It does this by making all of the functions normally required to manage the program available from the program desktop.

This feature lessens the need for multiple databases and spreadsheets to manage the inspection program, and allows the inspector to spend more time planning tasks and evaluating results, and less time looking for or collecting data. The program supports a criticality assessment to enable a fully integrated Risk Based Inspection Program, or it will provide all of the functionality of an integrated traditional inspection program without the use of risk check https://canceltimesharegeek.com/

The program uses a database to capture a full complement of data specific to each of the following six types of equipment:

  • Pressure Vessels
  • Air cooled exchangers
  • Columns
  • Storage Tanks
  • Piping
  • Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers

The database is designed with an easy-to-use data structure. It has a familiar browser that allows the user to navigate to any part of the program with only one or two mouse clicks. The browser also allows the user to always know exactly where he or she is in the program.
Designed data sheets are included for each type of equipment and their major components, such as the shell, channel, and bundle of a shell and tube heat exchanger. In addition, under each component, an unlimited number of items can be defined. An item might be a nozzle, head, or jacket for a pressure vessel. The Criticality Calculator used for the risk analysis automatically uses data from the database to calculate the criticality for a component or item.
